Another bonafied classic of golden age hip-hop. This was always sitting on my turntable for weeks! Mr. Funkyman, Do-it-all & DJ Lord Jazz were absolutely tearing it up-tempo New Jersey style (see Redman & Naughty By Nature for reference). The three are perhaps best remembered for the singles “Funky Child”, “Chief Rocka” and “Tic Toc”; all of which were wildly eccentric manifestos. The music video for “Funky Child” features one of the group members parading around in a diaper.*
