Heard this before for the past five years (sigh!) Courtesy of hhdx:

It looks like fans of Dr. Dre will have to wait just a little longer for the release of his highly-anticipated and hugely delayed solo album Detox.

In a Q&A that will be featured in the March edition of SLAM Magazine Dr. Dre revealed that the album will not be available until next year, 2011.

When asked about Detox, Dre responded with the following, “Well, I’m working on it, but also I’ve been working on other people’s projects; you’ll probably hear something in a year or so.”

This latest update is sure to have fans of Dr. Dre wondering if Detox will even be released at all.

Detox was initially set for release several years ago, but Dr. Dre was again swamped with solo projects from several artists on Aftermath and the album was gradually delayed.

Dre did give fans a very small taste of Detox when a snippet from Detox was included in a Dr. Pepper commercial last year.
